Your logo is often the first thing customers remember about your business. It needs to look good across your website, packaging and social media. It also needs to be original. A logo that resembles an existing brand can run into trademark objections or disputes later. Starting with an original design saves you from having to rebrand after you have already built recognition with customers.

Vibence partners with professional designers to create logos for new and growing businesses. You share your brand story, audience and preferences, and the designer develops concepts for you to review and refine. The final logo is delivered in formats suitable for print, digital use and a trademark application. Once you are happy with it, you can move straight to a trademark search and filing with Vibence.

Logo Design: FAQs

Will I own the logo once it is designed?

Yes. Once the design is final and paid for, the rights in the logo are transferred to you so you can use and register it as your brand. It is good practice to keep a written record of that assignment. A clear chain of ownership matters if you later file the logo as a trademark or register it as an artistic work.

Can I register my new logo as a trademark?

Yes. A logo can be registered as a device mark under the Trade Marks Act. Because the design is original, it is better placed for filing than one adapted from a template or stock image. A trademark search is still recommended before filing, since registration depends on the Registry's examination and cannot be guaranteed. Vibence can handle the search and filing.

What file formats will I receive?

You will typically receive the logo in vector formats suitable for printing and resizing, along with high-resolution image files for websites, social media and documents. Versions for light and dark backgrounds are usually included. These files are also suitable for attaching to a trademark application, which requires a clear representation of the mark.

Why does an original logo matter for trademark filing?

A trademark application can face objections if the logo is similar to an earlier registered mark. Logos built from free templates, clip art or stock icons are also hard to protect because others may use the same elements. An original design gives you a distinctive mark that you can protect and enforce. That reduces the risk of having to rebrand later.

How many revisions are included?

The number of concepts and revision rounds is agreed when you request a quote, based on your brief. Most projects allow for a reasonable number of refinements to the chosen concept. Clear feedback at each stage helps the designer reach a final logo quickly. Additional rounds or extra brand assets can be arranged if you need them.
